Big companies and busy webmasters often don’t have time to complete the every day mundane tasks their businesses need in order to succeed, so they outsource the simpler jobs to companies such as Amazon’s Mturks or Microworkers.
HITs (Human Intelligence Tasks) are individual tasks that you agree to work on. Workers select from thousands of tasks on offer and work whenever they choose – although once a task has been accepted you have a certain amount of time to complete.
As you work you will gain qualifications, which will then allow you to bid on more difficult, higher paid work according to your abilities.
It is important to only accept tasks you are sure of completing, as your success rate will drop if you repeatedly fail to complete the jobs accepted, you will then find that you are no longer able to accept any but the lowest paying work.
Most of the beginner tasks include categorising real estate and tweets, filling in survey’s and finding a person’s name and email address from given websites.
You can check your account status and qualification any time by logging into the site, they also keep you updated by email weekly with your earnings.
The jobs offered at Microworkers are much simpler and quicker than Mturks, with a bit of practise most of the tasks can be completed in 3 minutes or less.
Jobs include liking Facebook pages, registering on websites and forums, commenting on blogs, rate YouTube video’s, Follow people on Twitter, vote for pictures.
You sign up (free), browse for available jobs and select the one’s you think you can complete. Once your job is completed you submit the proof requested and then the employer rates your work and so long as the task has been marked as satisfied the money earned is then paid into your account.
You may withdraw your earnings as soon as you reach $9, payment is via Alertpay or Moneybookers. http://www.Minuteworkers.com is pretty much the same as microworkers, only you can choose to be paid via paypal.
With Microworkers you have the option to become the employer aswell as the worker, so if you need any jobs completing you may use your earnings to offset your costs. If you only want to employ you will need to deposit funds.
Joining Microworkers and Mturks is free, and as international sites, anyone from any country can be a member.
Joining Microworkers or Mturks as a worker does not mean you are employed by the site. Workers are hired as freelancers. With that, you can work as much or as little as you want. Your earning potential is limitless as you can accept all the jobs you believe you are able to complete to a satisfactory level, and be rewarded for it.
It is important to only accept the tasks that you are sure of completing satisfactorily and on time, repeated incompletion will lower your rating so that eventually you will only be able to undertake the most menial and lowest paying jobs.
